Style trend we're loving: primary hues
Bring this classic colour palette together to make a bold statement in any space
Since Poppy has joined the Mustard rainbow, we’re having a lot of fun experimenting with alllll of the new colour combos. Now we love a pastel as much as the next person, but there’s something about rich, primary colours paired together that just makes us go ‘oooooo’.
We’re showcasing how Poppy can be styled with all of the bright hues of the primary colour palette: Olive, Mustard and Navy, for all of you bright colour lovers out there who aren’t afraid to bring the rainbow inside!
Poppy + Mustard
Ok, first of all, look at that little face! This is Poppy, co-founder Jess’ little girl and the inspiration behind our new shade. She is beautifully modelling one of our favourite Poppy combos, Poppy and Mustard. That sunshine shade next to a pop of red is just happiness in a room. We love it!
Poppy + Navy
This pair really oozes sophistication if that’s what you’re after! We like the term ‘colourful minimalism’ for this setup — really classic, colourful but not over the top. Poppy is the focal point and the shades of Blue have been built around it. One big yes from us.
Poppy + Olive
Red and Green are definitely not just for Christmas, especially when the red and green in question are Poppy and Olive! Olive has a certain warmth about her which really allows Poppy to ‘pop’ (hehe) when they are next to each other. You can also add in some indoor greenery to tie it all together. We’re never going to say no to an extra houseplant!
Olive, Poppy, Mustard + Navy
We really shouldn’t have favourites but we think this may be it. Now that Poppy is in our rainbow we can complete this quintessential lineup! The row of Olive, Poppy, Mustard and Navy Skinnys takes us right back to school, so we had to style them with a vintage style desk, some toys (Lego of course) complete with matching lamp and basket. We’d happily go back to our childhood and do homework at this desk any day… well maybe, don’t hold us to that though!
Have you fallen for this nostalgic combo? We can definitely see this collection making their way into living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and playrooms. Maybe even a desk space or two, whether that’s for you or the little ones!
